Hey! It's Berke Ataseven and I'm a Mechanical Engineer I've involved in several engineering projects over the years. Some of these projects were for competitions, some were personal projects and all were fun. Every project I undertook was a result of my passion for engineering and the opportunity to learn new things.

A Hand-Held Haptic Device for VR Applications

As a part of my master's thesis, I have developed a hand-held haptic device that can give force and stretch feedback to the user in virtual environments. Link to published paper.

A mobile robot with a robotic manipulator, capable of autonomous object tracking. Won the Best Engineering Project Award for the 2019 – 2020 academic year.

Motion Planning Using Potential Fields

What started as a term project for one of my classes turned into an interactive game-like application where the user can tweak the parameters to see the changes in the motion of the robot. Written in both Python and MATLAB.

Haptic Feedback Glove for Virtual Environments

The design of the vibrotactile hand interface for virtual reality project aimed users to feel the virtual object via tactile feedback on their hands and increase the general sense of reality in Virtual Reality. Won the Best Engineering Project Award for the 2018 – 2019 academic year.

2020 CANSAT Competition

Designed and manufactured a delta wing payload with asymmetric wings. The payload can gather atmospherical information as it descends on a spiral trajectory.

Coded and tuned the flight control system from scratch. Devised the ground control software to track and autonomously command the quadcopter.

Rigid Body and Rope Simulations

Equations of motion for a rigid body and an interconnected mass-spring-damper system are solved numerically. Coin3D, which is an OpenGL-based 3D graphics library, is used to visualize the results.
